Pet Friendly Accommodation Australia

Question:
Hi
We are searching for pet friendly accommodation Australia. We are relocating from Qld to Country Victoria.
As we will be driving with our Golden Retriever, I would like to know where along the way there are pet friendly accomodation?
We only have four days in which to get to Maryborough Victoria. Will be coming down the coast road from Gold Coast to Sydney area, staying at Coffs Harbour along the way.We then wanted to go inland to head through Bendigo area. What route do you suggest?
Thanks

Answer:

There are so many different routes you could take so it is tricky to decide. I think I would opt for going via Dubbo and trying to explore Orange and Mudgee, before heading to Albury perhaps. it would make it quite a focused trip but the rural countryside around here is beautiful. I enjoyed a nice walk along the old railway line in Albury and the zoo at Dubbo is worth a visit too.

In terms of pet friendly accommodation in Australia, I have
a couple of recommendations for you. I find searching on www.stayz.com.au and filtering on pet friendlyon the right hand side of the site, to be a good. Or similarly try www.homeaway.com.au.

If you still struggle, It might be worth contacting the owners to see whether they would allow your dog. I found Le Chalet in Albury through the homeaway site. There seems to be a few places in Coffs Harbour too.

Otherwise, would you consider camping? The cabins on those big sites sometimes allow dogs but not all of them.
