Hotels In Adelaide

"Find out the best hotels in Adelaide - no matter what your budget!"

Adelaide offers a wide choice of hotels so where do you start? Have a look below for some of my personal favourites

Don't restrict yourself to the centre of Adelaide. Glenelg for example is a perfect option. No matter what your budget there is something here for everyone.

The recommendations are personal and also from seeking advice from my friends here in Australia who travel regularly. Click here for a map showing the hotel locations Map of Adelaide.

Best 4 or 5 Star Hotels

  • Medina Grand Treasury Hotel –$$$ This is a great central location with beautiful colonial touches. These tend to be apartments which are self contained. Real luxury with period features
  • The Sebel Playford Hotel $$$
  • This hotel tends to be cheaper than the Medina Grand (probably not quite as luxurious) but has a central location and rooms are good. Service generally excellent

  • Crowne Plaza Adelaide - $$$This is the newest hotl in town and as such the decor is pretty stunning. I loved the pool and spa facilities.
  • Stamford Grand Glenelg $$$
  • Glenelg Beach Resort 107 Mosley StreetThis offers you beach style living and only minutes from the city. A great combination especially as there are good cycle tracks from here too.
  • Majestic Roof Garden $$($) The location is great for the restaurant area of Adelaide and the Japanese bathrooms are light and airy

    Mid-Priced Hotels in Adelaide

Here are the best mid priced hotels in Adelaide:

  • Clarion Hotel Soho - If art is your thing then look no further than this gem. It won a best hotel award in 2012 by Trip Advisor and its walls are adorned with superb local art. This is a small hotel with nice touches - great product in the bathrooms and nice Missoni linen. Location is just to the East of the city near the art muesums, so still fairly central. $$
  • Majestic Minima Hotel This has to be the best bargain in Adelaide. A self-check in hotel with well designed rooms (although a little small). Whilst the service is clearly non existent the $99 price tag more than makes up for it

  • Really Budget Hotels In Adelaide

You'll be hard pressed to beat the value for money Majestic Minima Hotel discussed above but if you are looking for something cheaper then try:

  • Glenelg Beach Hostel
  • Good value and you get to be near the beach and action of Glenelg

Adelaide Beachfront Tourist Park Cabins A typical caravan site with nice cabins on offer.

    For Something Different!

If you are looking for something querky then check out:

    Fire Station Inn

This is a converted fire station and the property includes an old fashioned fire engine actually in the living quarters. There are 18 unique self contained properties here. Worth a stay although I recently saw it featured in a well known magazine which will probably put the prices up! $$($)
