Henley Beach Adelaide
"Henley Beach - Come Enjoy the Seaside!"
This is another delightful seaside spot just 20 minutes outside of Adelaide.
Whilst it's a great place to enjoy the white sandy beaches, it is an excellent place to enjoy some fine eateries.
Also strolling along the beach you'll reach Grange Jetty which is another great little spot where you can enjoy awesome views and great food.
Getting here is relatively straight forward with local buses running from the centre of Adelaide as well as Glenelg. It will take about 20 minutes.
The beach here is lovely with gentle waves so is a good place to simply relax and enjoy a day at the beach. The jetty is particularly prominent too and does offer a bit of shade.
That said, this area is well known for its food. There is a a square here where the locals come to enjoy a bite to eat at the weekends.
There's a couple of classic Aussie pubs serving traditional pub food - The Henley Beach Hotel and Ramsgate Hotel. But for something different try one of the other international foods on offer - you'll find a great Thai (Thai Orchid) or something more mediterranean such as Stella Restaurant which offers a cracking view of the beach.
During the summer this place really does come to life. You can expect to see some live entertainment or even a festival here during the summer months.
I would recommend taking a stroll along the beach to the next beach which is called Grange Beach. Here you will find even more great food on offer at the Grange Jetty Kiosk. This place is a made up of wall to wall glass with a view directly of the beach. The food is well known by the locals as some of the best fodder in the area. It is very much a bistro style .
Whilst this place is great in the day, it is open for early dinner and closes about 9.30pm. If you are in the area - come and at least have something to eat here and enjoy the view.
