Australian Cities

"Come and live the Australian lifestyle"

Australian Cities are a cross between American and British cities.

The American grid system and similar road signs generally make it easy to navigate your way around.

In most cases, they are very compact, so sightseeing and window shopping can be done without a car.

You don't need a car to explore. There are however some good day trips that would make having a car extremely beneficial.

Consider hiring just for a day though as a car is a bit of a nuisance in the city as parking is generally difficult and expensive.

If this is your first time in Australia, I would recommend Travel Sydney Australia or Melbourne as there are plenty of things to do in Melbourne and of course Sydney.

Believe it or not, the two have a very different vibe. Whilst the very central area (Known as the CBD - Central Business District) is very similar, the side streets, cafe vibe and shopping is not the same.

If this is your second visit or you are into food and wine, I'd go to Adelaide Australia where you can visit 3 different wine regions -all an easy car journey from the centre. It's also the gateway to Kangaroo Island Australia - a personal favourite of mine.

Or, I'd look at Perth Travel and a trip to the wine and beach region of the

Margaret River

If you intend to drive between Sydney and Melbourne then make sure you visit the Capital of Australia, as there are plenty of things to do in Canberra It's perfect for discovering the culture of Australia through its many museums and green open spaces.

If you are coming in the traditional winter months for Australia (April to October,) then a trip to Darwin Australia or Broome Australia would be great.

To get more of an understanding of an outback town, you could visit Alice Springs Australia but I would only recommend visiting here as part of a trip to Ayers Rock Australia.

Don't rule out Tasmania Australia and its capital city hobart Australia

Whichever of the Australian cities that you pick, there is something for everyone.
